MAD MAX 1979 Movie Review – Is It Worth Watching?

Mad Max is a movie where people drive around in cars and… actually, that’s pretty much it. Dis Drawma Kingg is surely late to the par-tay when it comes to this angrily named original of the series. Yes, I now have an opinion of 1979’s Mad Max, and I imagine you’re gonna wanna hear it!

ZAP! Suddenly, a non sequitur short story arrives!

Unity wakes at the same time every morning. Rhythmically and rapidly, she prepares for the day. Breakfast looks noticeably small. Little sustenance is needed for a mostly metal body. The year is 3020. There are more people with technological upgrades than people without them.

Floating through the city with a travel upgrade, Unity comes to a strangely shaped building. No need for the laser, one window has been carelessly left open. A scan of the area inside reveals a single stairwell that connects to the basement. Creeping down each step – 38, 39, 40… still going. At last! The end!

Dozens of people kneel in a circle towards a hovering object on a pedestal in the center of the gigantic space. They appear to be worshiping a luminescent fossil. Unity flies over and grabs the artifact. As this happens, the worshipers all stand up—

Is It Worth Watching?: I did not personally enjoy watching Mad Max. Plenty of other people love this movie, so I’m likely the one who is wrong here.

Final Thoughts: 1/10 Crowns. I don’t think I’ve ever been so bored in a movie that is hailed as a classic. I often give some pretty bad movies as much as a 4 or 5. This is because I am probably still somewhat entertained by the viewing experience. Mad Max gets such a low Crown Rating, because I was empirically bored. Dis Drawma Kingg would like to apologize to fans of this movie in hopes that I will not receive any threatening letters. However, know this! I will always give you a completely honest movie rating. No film company can pay me off to praise their movie or trash their competitors! Drawma Kingg movie reviews are for the people!
