  • IT ENDS 2026 Movie Review – Does It Really End?

    I’ve been trapped on a road before. Traffic isn’t moving, and you can’t get home – one of those deals. It Ends was a good movie because it was relatable! Sometimes we all drive on roads for too long and get annoyed. So if this is just everyday stuff, why would I want to watch a movie about it? Well there’s one thing I’ve learned about movies in my dramatic years as a movie watcher —anything can happen in a movie! Yeah sure it involves a car and some people and a road, but what ELSE happens? That’s why I just love watching movies, because the else stuff is the good stuff!

    It honestly did take me a second to decide how I felt about this film. My only real reservation was that there wasn’t a typical climax or much of a reveal at the end. However, the concepts actually made Dis Drawma Kingg think afterwards! Thinking is not something I do very often! After a few hours of thinking about it, I think I decided that I really love this movie. And I don’t really wanna spoil all the reasons why I like the movie. I’ll try to share a few thoughts.

    The movie had all excellent actors. I honestly believe that if it were four bad actors instead of four solid actors, the whole package wouldn’t have worked at all. You see, this was a cool movie about friendship, and that’s one of the reasons it was great. All four actors selling you on their personalities and their friendship was totally awesome. Another thing I will say is that for a horror film, it does build enormous tension and dread and fear probably too.

    Does It Really End?: Yep, it does end. I think it was maybe somewhere around 90 minutes long.

    Final Thoughts: 8/10 Crowns. I definitely had a more and more positive feeling towards It Ends the more I sat around and thought about it. I’m telling you I haven’t thought in years! Any movie that can accomplish that, must be pretty great. Anyway I would say yes, this is a good example of a film to watch for the else stuff. 

  • COYOTE VS. ACME 2026 Movie Review – Is It Worth Watching?

    Dis Drawma Kingg was walking around one of them “downtowns”, and I thought maybe I should go see that movie about like coyotes, and roadrunners, and possibly more. I think The Last Man On Earth and Peacemaker become lawyers in it as well. None of the characters seemed the least bit concerned that the cartoon realm was melding with regular life. It was obvious to me right away. Not sure how all of the characters missed this. Don’t let me forget the real reason we’re all here though. You’re all wanting to know if Coyote vs. Acme is truly as good as THE SCHOLARS claim!

    Rather than answer that question right away, I should start talking about something else for a little while. Way-back-when before the human and cartoon realms formed a single Earth —I was talking to Bill and he was telling me about all the stuff he needed to do to tidy up his garage. I became 100% certain that I had no interest in a single detail of this conversation. Changing the subject, my mouth said that it sure could go for a blue beverage in the time vicinity of now.

    Bill: Do you mean like a blue raspberry or blueberry drink?

    Drawma Kingg: No, not necessarily. Just as long as it’s blue. Blue always tastes the best of all the flavor options. I bet you we could prove it with a lab experiment.

    Bill: You know for a fact that blue beverage drinking information bores me! Can we please get back to talking about all the ways I had to dust my garage shelves?

    The two of us clearly were not seeing eye to eye on what makes a good conversation. I really thought I had an interesting topic about blue tasting good — “not blue” therefore tasting not quite as good. Could that really have been inferior to a conversation about using a broom and moving a few boxes?

    Is It Worth Watching?: I would say it is right on the line, and the answer depends on how much you like Looney Tunes characters. If you are excited to see all the characters on the screen, then it will probably be worth watching for you.

    Final Thoughts: 6/10 Crowns. Coyote vs. Acme was somewhat enjoyable. I did not think it was anything great, though I wouldn’t say I was bored or disliked it. There were a few laughs. I would say my biggest problem with the movie is that I thought it would be funnier than it was. I think I laughed out loud maybe twice (which honestly is probably more times than a lot of comedies). The general humorous premise did manage to carry the film well enough to maintain a positive feeling throughout. So was it truly as good as THE SCHOLARS have been claiming? [Only remembering now that I made up the name of that vague group at the beginning of this episode and had no backstory in mind… ]Um, no! This vaguely named group that doesn’t really exist thinks this movie is 8-or-9 out of 10 material. Thus, in my opinion, no, the film was not as good as THE SCHOLARS claim!

  • SPEED 1994 Movie Review – Is It Worth Watching?

    WHOA I’m moving at a really high rate of speed! Wait, that’s not even what I’m doing at all. I was mistaken. I believe this confusion is mostly a result of recently watching Speed, the movie from 1994. Perhaps movies can disorient us a bit and make us forget what is real! I actually thought I was moving at a high rate of speed with no justification whatsoever being that I’m sittin’ down doin’ nothin’. Well anyway, I finally watched Speed when it’s over 30 years old, and I’m extraordinarily late to seeing this movie. Though that does make me question – at what point is it mandatory that you’ve seen a movie? For example: it’s not like everybody has seen every movie from the ‘20s, right? So technically nobody can say “Hey you haven’t seen Ghostbusters? It’s been long enough! You gotta go see Ghostbusters!” And then the other person is like “Man, I just got no idea what that movie is about and have no idea what any of the characters look like. Is it about people or something?”

    You know, in this movie there is more than just a fast bus. There is also a fast elevator action scene. How cool is that – more than one fast vehicle involved in this epic production! And at the very end, there is a fast subway! Yummmm, subway system…  Maybe I’m accidentally confusing a thing or two or many many more. OK forget I said anything, and you might as well not read on. [Whistling] Oh wow, are you still here reading? I’d be surprised if anyone wanted to read any more words of mine after that earlier part. So what was I talking about again, oh yeah – a Hollywood movie with fast vehicles! Wait, I didn’t even mention the fact that it had intensely energetic title cards at the beginning of the film! Well now I did mention it.

    Maybe this was just my incorrect interpretation of the movie, but the villain struck me as the kind of guy who had pretty much given up on things in life. The only issue was, he was watching football on television. Hope I got the name of that sport correct…anyway some kind of football play happened on the television, and he seemed to care about it! So the man did care about things after all! I mean maybe just football so maybe he just cared about one thing. I guess he also wanted some money, so there are at least two things this guy liked in life.

    Is It Worth Watching?: Tough one to say for sure on this particular movie. I will say that I myself enjoyed the movie. Whether or not it is WORTH WATCHING for someone else…I would say if you like ‘90s action movies, Sandra Bullock,  and/or Keanu Reeves – then yes, it is worth watching.

    Final Thoughts: I just realized as I’m finishing this review that I didn’t even have a number in mind yet for my Crown Rating! Hmmmmmmmmmm I will give Speed (arguably a prequel to that one where Keanu Reeves fights crime as a superhero that calls himself “The Matrix”) a 6.5/10 Crowns. I don’t know if that number is quite right, yet that’s what pops into my head. Sometimes you just gotta go with the aether I guess. One highlight I wanted to mention about this film is that the two main characters fall in love by the end, so it’s really just a love story where a bus and a subway san—, I mean, tasty subway SYSTEM get in the way. Did I get it right that time? 

  • THE END OF OAK STREET 2026 Movie Review – Is It Worth Watching?

    Dis Drawma Kingg is just chilling in the middle of Oakey Street, minding my personal business. Hmmm people keep driving by and telling me that it would be more interesting if I go over there to the end of this perfectly normal street. I don’t know, this middle is pretty cool. I have a glass of lemonade in my right hand and a sugar biscuit in my left hand. How could things possibly get any more interesting? Suppose it wouldn’t hurt to take a little walk, though I probably won’t go all the way to the end. You never know what random prehistoric dangers might show up if you just start walking any old where.

    The End Of Oak Street had to be about the boringest dinosaur movie I’ve ever seen, which clearly means it’s time to start talking about somethin’ else. Watching this film did make me wish I had a pack of dinosaur trading cards for my brand new episodic internet show called OVERLY DRAMATIC PACKS! You can watch the first seven episodes and any future installments on my YouTube channel, Instagram, or Facebook page. In this brand new series, I open one single pack of absolutely any random kind of trading cards! Rest assured, I don’t do that skip to the rare at the end unappreciative style of trading card videos. I I think the commons are better than the rares out of a pack! How’s that for a subversive opinion?! Anyway, it’s really not about rarity for me. It’s about the art and getting a trading card of a character that you like! And yes, I definitely say plenty of ultra stoopid things during the process for some laughs! Oh and get this: in Episode 4 I actually opened a pack of sports trading cards for the first time ever! I think it was the sport called balls n’ bases or something like that.

    OK back to the movie. Be warned — this is a super spoiler paragraph, because I gotta talk about the ridiculous ending! After a dinosaur eats one of the family members, they travel back in time to right before their house gets transported to dinosaur land. The main character (Catwoman, I believe) places a telephone call to her own house, convinces the deceased family member to get out of the neighborhood, and leaves the parallel versions of the rest of the family to get transported to the feeding bowl of the dinosaurs. Now some viewers might think that it would just be a time loop and they would make it out okay anyway. This interpretation doesn’t make sense, because the family just barely protected each other enough to get MOST of them safely to the time jump spot. The narrative presents itself as if this is a happy ending where everything worked out. I was basically speechless, which is unusual for my overly dramatic self. Catwoman did the parallel duplicates dirty with this conclusion. 

    Is It Worth Watching?: I don’t think you’re missing anything if you skip this one.

    Final Thoughts: 4/10 Crowns. The End Of Oak Street didn’t manage to engage me or pull me in. It was a little bit more exciting towards the end, but then the very end fell apart. Now I have to quote the first dinosaur movie that I reviewed. Way back in Episode 6 of drawmakingg.com (JURASSIC WORLD REBIRTH 2025 Movie Review – Ending Explained) I said “You don’t need substance in your script to enjoy dinosaurs! If nothing else, this movie definitely proved that for me.” Well looks like the proof has been disproven! Merely having dinosaurs on the screen was not enough to ensure an enjoyable theater outing this time. I’ll admit that the premise wasn’t bad, setting itself up to be a heartfelt movie about a family going through a dangerous and fantastical adventure. Sadly, it was unsuccessful in the details. Still made me wanna open some packs o’ dinosaur trading cards though!
