  • STREET FIGHTER 2026 Movie Review – Is It Worth Watching?

Yes, one ticket please to the one about the human beings fighting against streets. I want to know what the streets did that made them so mad! Oh Mr. Ticket Seller, what is that you said? You’re saying I’m misunderstanding the movie entirely? Dis Drawma Kingg must go in and interpret the artwork for himself! Nice, a preview about a Jason Statham movie with a plot that has something to do with keepin’ bees! This is a good sign for the evening!

I figured out pretty quickly that this movie wasn’t actually about people in physical altercations with streets. 45 minutes tops. I think it was actually less than that I would guess, but definitely a Maximum of 45 minutes it took me to figure out that the plot was actually just about people versus other people. You can probably feel how disappointed I was. I started to wonder if it was just one big joke on me, like everybody else knew the whole time, and I was literally the only one shrouded in a cage of ignorance. I know I already claim to be the man with the lowest IQ in bipedal human history, but this one really hurts.

Have I said a single thing yet about whether Street Fighter was actually good or bad critically? One positive is that I liked the animated sequences and actually thought the film was kind of cool in the fact that it had multiple animated segments contrasting the live action footage. I’ll admit I had a hard time maintaining excitement while watching this movie after so recently finding out that all the conflicts in the narrative have nothing to do with streets, not even boulevards!

Is It Worth Watching?: Only if you especially love the Street Fighter video games.

Final thoughts: 4/10 Crowns. Street fighter only earns those 4 points because of Callina Liang as Chun Li and for having a mostly good soundtrack. Oh wait I guess I haven’t really explained why I actually DISLIKE this movie at all or why it would only get a 4/10. There were two glaring problems with this film as a composite. The plot was not interesting in any way. It was just a bunch of fight scenes loosely written together. Don’t forget the second thing! I said there were two glaring problems, that’s right, two of em’! For a movie that is supposed to be hollywoodizin’ video game fights, these aforementioned fights were totally forgettable and meaningless. Turns out, the best thing I saw that night was the preview about keepin’ bees. Though it foreshadowed nothing about my evening… It merely WAS!
