Have you noticed that Marvel movies tend to be family friendly? We are three movies in on a brand new cinematic universe of DC characters, and it already gets weird! Clayface was a really cool horror movie. ClaytonFacebook (I assume is the full non-abbreviated name) was also a movie that would probably only be digestible to adult members of the audience. That’s right, Dis Drawma Kingg definitely does not recommend this movie to anyone under 27 years of age. With that out of the way, Clayface was a bold DC movie!
Even the trailer for this sloppy film was probably about the scariest trailer I’ve ever seen. Yes, the movie is very much an extension of the kinds of horror images in the preview. I’m fairly sure I’ve seen every MCU movie. After Clayface, I’ve seen every DCU movie as well. The point is – I’m now realizing DC is going to troll me a lot if I go to see every one of their movies. Because if they do a movie like Clayface this early, they’re obviously gonna make me watch some pretty strange movin’ pictures.
So like, this is a movie about a guy who can shapeshift into other people. If Hollywood is willing to produce movies with a premise about a guy who turns into other stuff that isn’t him, then I could come up with some good movie ideas that a movie company should pay me for! First Option: Drawma Kingg becomes a motor vehicle. Don’t know how, don’t know why, don’t have those aspects worked out yet. Second Option: Drawma Kingg becomes a lime and hopes no one is hungry for limes on this particular day.
Did DC Go For It?: Yes, they went all out. This gets me very excited for any future adaptations of Sweemp Theeng. Nailed the spelling on that! [Drawma Kingg pats self on general back area.]
Final Thoughts: 8/10 Crowns. Clayface was a great horror film with a great cast! Like I says earlier, I can’t recommend it to a younger audience, just because I think it will give nightmares. For any older fans of horror movies – this one is very scary and effective. I found it interesting that by releasing this film, DC have made it completely clear that they are willing to tell unsettling stories about peculiar characters. Oh yeah, back to my movie ideas about a guy who turns into other stuff that isn’t him. Third Option: Drawma Kingg becomes someone that is almost as smart as the earliest bipeds. I will be truly surprised if no movie studio makes me an offer to produce that one!
