  • ACE VENTURA: PET DETECTIVE 1994 Movie Review – Ending Explained

HELP! Dis Drawma Kingg is still trapped in the 3rd dimension since last episode! I have been looking around, and I cannot find a doorway out. OLACKIUS GLONGAR MAEPO MALORPA! See! Obviously I am not in my original dimension, because it still won’t let me tell you the secret code. More importantly, I’m trying to write a review of Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, but how will I get out of the 3rd dimension in time to do so?

If only I were a pet walrus or giraffe or something. Maybe then, a pet detective could come find me in the 3rd dimension and take me home. Isn’t Ace Ventura the kind of guy that can transcend space and time? He better be, because all these new colors and geometric patterns are scaring me.

Must…write…movie…review…about…pet…detective. Dis Drawma Kingg thinks he has only seen this movie one time many years ago. I wasn’t sure if it would be any good from a 2026 lens. Jim Carrey’s delivery on his lines and a handful of the visual gags held up decently. Some of the other jokes and sentiments in the movie do not hold up well at all. These cringe moments may have even been obvious when it first came out. Hey, I’m actually critiquing a movie! Does that mean I am back in the 1st dimension?

Ending Explained: The detective finds the pet.

Final Thoughts: 6.5/10 Crowns. I am having difficulty figuring out if I only enjoy Ace Ventura for the childhood nostalgia factor. It definitely had me laughing at several parts though. Jim Carrey has such an undeniably strong presence in every scene. His ability to perform in front of the camera is incredible. I sure hope I made it back to my regular dimension. I will be even more upset than the reader if this 3rd dimension stuff goes on for yet another episode!

Is there an overly drawmatic kingg stuck in the 3rd dimension? Will he ever be able to write again?
