  • 28 YEARS LATER: THE BONE TEMPLE 2026 Movie Review – Why Did You Give Me That Sandwich?

Why did you give me that sandwich? It was not a tasty sandwich. In my review of the third 28 Later movie in 2025, I complained that 28 Years Later would have been better without the intro and outro scenes about the Jimmy character. The rest of the movie had nothing to do with him and was really good! I deemed these intro/outro scenes – Da Sandwich! Well here we are in the sequel. What’s the point of this Jimmy character? Why did they make 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple? Was Da Sandwich created for a reason?

The short answer is – not a very good one. You might say there were some good fixins in Da Sandwich though. Ralph Fiennes’ acting was exceptional, and his character was surprisingly likable. He seemed to have a love for music such as Duran Duran and Iron Maiden. I think I heard him say “Memento Mori” at the end which is the name of a Depeche Mode album too. I don’t think the writers were actually using it that way, but for the official cannon story I create in my overly drawmatic head, it was definitely a Depeche Mode reference!

Otherwise, I found the movie so-so. There were plot threads that fizzled. One example: there were multiple conversations about the Teletubbies, but nothing was concluded on the matter. There was also an intriguing, yet unresolved, sub plot about an infected patient that Dr. Ian Kelsen (Ralph Fiennes) was treating. I thought this was going to go somewhere really exciting during the climax. Unfortunately, it did not.

Why Did You Give Me That Sandwich?: I think the previous movie created Da Sandwich just to try to turn 28 Later into a bigger franchise with notable characters. However, SUPER SPOILER: neither Dr. Ian Kelsen nor Jimmy appear to make it out alive. So this franchise expansion kinda implodes in the end.

Final Thoughts: 6/10 Crowns. Da Sandwich should have set up something a little better than 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple. At this point, I am very lukewarm on all four of the 28 Later movies. I’ll still probably go see the next one though. Apparently mediocrity doesn’t stop me from giving movie franchises more money.

  • TITANIC 1997 Movie Review – Is It Worth Watching?

I’ll tell you what I liked about Titanic. It was big. I just could not see myself being interested in ever watching this movie if the boat was not big. Oooh here Dis Drawma Kingg has an idea for a movie: two people fall in love on a medium-sized boat. Do you think you’d buy a ticket to that? Anyways, let’s dissect the 1997 film known as TITANIC.

Do you ever feel like you’re lucky ’cause you win some tickets, but they turn out to be tickets to death?! I’m like 11% sure David Lynch directed this, so do you think any of the characters realize they’re on a boat, or is it just like some kind of surreal dream? This is a prequel to the 1996 movie The Phantom, right? Why doesn’t Billy Zane put on his Phantom costume in a single scene in a movie that’s over three hours long?

Sidenote: Watching Titanic made me finally understand the poetry of the song I’m on a Boat by The Lonely Island featuring T-Pain. It’s interesting because he’s ON it. Halfway through the romance movie, it shapeshifts into nautical horror! I somehow didn’t fully grasp how scary this movie was going to be (yes this is the first time I ever saw it). After they hit the ice, I’m thinking it’s going to be a time-travel movie. The time travel never comes. That’s what made it REALLY scary!

Is It Worth Watching?: Definitely! I was expecting an average or bad movie, but it was a great movie!

Final Thoughts: I would give it somewhere around an 8 or a 9 out of 10 Crowns. The film is gripping because it activates your fundamental instincts of human survival. I was absolutely wrong my whole life thinking that watching Titanic would be a waste of my time. This was the kind of emotional roller coaster Dis Drawma Kingg regularly seeks out for fantastic movie experiences!

  • ANACONDA 2025 Movie Review – Is It Worth Watching?

Would you put your face right next to a large snake if your best friend asked you to do so? Would you move to Los Angeles with your bestie to make movies together? Anaconda 2025 wasn’t really about snakes being all snakey and stuff. This was a movie about two things: friendship, and taking risks to do the thing that truly makes you happy in life!

Early in the movie we get to see The Quatch (hope I spelled dat rite, spellin’ is important 2 luk like a kredibL riter). The Quatch is a low (or no) budget movie that the main characters made about the Sasquatch legend when they were kids. They found happiness in doing a fun project like that together and realize this is where happiness still can exist for them. These themes touched my overly dramatic heart as a writer that once said “Since I can’t seem to figure out how to get a job interview at any comic book publishers, I’m building my own personal website and writing anyway!.” This undertaking also led to my idea for Pictureless Comic Books as seen in Drawma Kingg Sidequest #s 1 through 4. I might have had no luck getting a job at a comic book company, but I was born to write comics! Now I have 4 issues available to read in the drawmakingg.com archive in just over 4 months time! Drawma Kingg Sidequest #5 is coming soon, and let me tell you, this one is an ADVENTURE! I think it will likely take the proverbial cake for best comic I ever wrote. I really hope you enjoy this upcoming exciting issue!

January is going to be an anaconda of a month for drawmakingg.com! Classics, new movies, Drawma Kingg Sidequest #5 will probably be finished before February, AND BIG SECRET REVEAL – The Drawma Kingg theme song has been composed and recorded! We’re talkin’ just mixing and mastering stages now! Cheers to 2026 starting strong!

It would be wrong of me not to comment on one particular concept in the film. Jack Black’s character comes to the realization that the movie has to be about something deeper, not just snakes. Didn’t we basically prove in episode number 36: ANGEL’S EGG Movie Review – What Is It About? that this is a myth? Movies don’t have to have a clear point! They can exist with or without appearing to be about something! But I’m probably wrong on all of this on account of being the man with (arguably) the lowest IQ in bipedal human history.

Is It Worth Watching?: Surprisingly, my answer is yes. It’s not extremely funny, yet it is quite likable – mostly due to the actors/characters.

Final Thoughts: 6/10 Crowns. The Dario Argento Inferno Poster was the best character, but Jack Black’s acting was really impressive in Anaconda. The themes of friendship and finding happiness were effective, making the film an enjoyable experience.

Thank you so much if you have read even a single episode of Drawma Kingg in 2025. It sincerely means the galaxy to me! Until episode #42 in 2026 – Dis Drawma Kingg is signing off!
